Yon Hui Lee

Pixar | Story Artist

Yon is a current story artist at Pixar Animation Studios. His most recent work can be seen in Pixar’s animated feature film “Luca”. In this interview, Yon takes us through a typical day at work, how he got to where he is today, and shares with us some of the things he’s learned along the way.

I focused on presenting a full view of Yon’s career journey—knowing how often our target audience (young artists) struggle to find their own starting point. To highlight Yon’s work, I incorporated his illustrations directly into the design language of the piece, creating a visual narrative that complements his story and emphasizes the power of mentorship, storytelling, and artistic excellence.
